I like much of what the narrator in the video is saying – work ethic comes from how hard one is willing to work without anyone telling him what to do, true work ethic comes from treating one’s work as an art that requires much practice, and passion is necessary, etc. – though there are some aspects of the video that bug me. For example, many parents do want their children to be successful, and there are different extremes of that desire. The scene in which the man pops a few pills before doing his computer work almost betrays the work ethic idea that one needs to take drugs in order to be successful – it seems to imply that work ethic requires drugs in order for it to be good. Also, I think the music is a bit too passionate and distracted me from listening to the narrator at times.
